Welcome to Hanger Hall! We're so glad you're here.
Welcome!

At Hanger Hall, middle school is more than a phase. It is a time of real growth, discovery, and becoming. And we have built a school that honors that.

As an independent school serving just 84 students in grades 6 through 8, our size is one of our greatest strengths. It allows for small class sizes, deep relationships, and a true sense of belonging.  Students develop connections with teachers over three years, which means they are seen and supported not just as learners, but as people. That consistency builds trust, and with trust comes confidence, curiosity, and a willingness to take healthy risks.

Every Monday morning, we begin the week together with a pledge: to be kind, honest, and respectful. These values do not just live in the circle. They live in our classrooms, on our trips, in our conversations, and in the way we care for one another. Our students are empowered to lead with empathy, speak with courage, and grow into themselves.
As someone who has spent nearly two decades here as a teacher and now as Head of School, I can say with deep confidence that this is a place where young people thrive. It is joyful. It is challenging. It is rooted in purpose and heart.

Whether you are a prospective family, a friend of the school, a donor, or simply someone curious about what makes Hanger Hall unique, I invite you to learn more. Come visit, ask questions, connect with our community, and experience the spirit of Hanger Hall for yourself.

With gratitude,
Katie Conner
